The Dan F. Long Band Club has existed for twelve years as a sub-organization of the Newman Smith Area Band Club and split off as an independent organization in 2000 with help from Patti O'Connell.  Brief meetings occur approximately four times a year prior to performances.

Our activities are do not require a great deal of parental assistance but there are times during the year when help is needed.  Those who desire to volunteer in some way note their availability on the back of "The Signing Page" sent home in the Fall Semester Band Newsletter in August.  If you would like to help in some way and do not remember filling out the volunteer portion, please send Mr. Black an email (blackj@cfbisd.edu) or written note and we'll add you to the list.
